Bryan Properties is dedicated to the practice of making enduring places that enrich the quality of life of the people who live, work and play in their neighborhoods. The company is engaged in all aspects of the community development process: acquisition of land and governmental approvals, design and installation of infrastructure and recreational amenities, selection and management of home builders, and sales and marketing of new homes.
D.R. Bryan founded the company in 1984 with neighborhoods in Winston-Salem and Raleigh. Bryan Properties has created award-winning communities in Chapel Hill, Holly Springs, Clayton, and Huntersville. The company was selected as developer of the year in the Research Triangle area (1994 and 1999) and in the Charlotte area (2002).
Bryan Properties has been a leader in land conservation since purchasing Treyburn in 2003. Over three years, Bryan Properties donated enough land to create a 670-acre conservation project that protects water quality in Falls Lake, enhances a protected natural area and preserves an important wildlife corridor. This represents the largest land donation made to Triangle Land Conservancy (TLC) in the organization's 22 year history. It is the second largest property owned by the land trust that serves Durham, Orange, Wake, Chatham, Lee and Johnston counties.
For their efforts, Bryan Properties was awarded the 2006 Governor's Award Business Conservationist of the Year by the North Carolina Wildlife Federation. This awards program highlights individuals and organizations that have exemplified conservation activism across the state.
By placing these lands under permanent protection, Bryan Properties and TLC are helping to keep water safe and clean for the 500,000 people who drink out of this basin every day.
